Fly-rodders wishing to try their luck from the shore should try: Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, New YorkCanarsie Pier in Jamaica, QueensBreezy Point in Rockaway, New York Access is by permit only. For info on obtaining permits call Gateway National Park Service at 718 318-4300.
