FCA welcomes Regulator Marine to the Manhattan Cup
Fri, Mar 21, 2008
The Fishermen's Conservation Association (FCA) has announced that Regulator Marine has been named the exclusive title sponsor of the 10th Annual Manhattan Cup "catch and release" charity fishing tournament in New York City.

Carol Ricketts, Regulator Marine's director of sales and marketing, said that Regulator was thrilled to pair up with the FCA at their flagship charity fishing event.  "We are very excited to be presenting the 10th Annual Manhattan Cup," Carol said. "It is an outstanding opportunity to illustrate two things we are passionately dedicated to: making the finest fishing boats in the industry, and being actively engaged in conservation of the resources that sustain our industry."

Manhattan Cup co-chair Captain Frank Crescitelli said that Regulator Marine's sponsorship marks a key milestone in the FCA's extraordinary growth.  "We are delighted to welcome Regulator Marine aboard at this special time for our organization," Crescitelli said.  "We have grown to become the largest fishing conservation group in New York, and this level of commitment from a world renowned boat maker validates our mission-to protect our valuable marine resource."

The Manhattan Cup has become the largest one-day in-shore tournament in the Northeast.  Approximately 50 professional fishing guides provide their boats and expertise to individual teams competing for the largest striped bass, bluefish and weakfish among three categories (fly, artificial and bait). Proceeds from the event will help the FCA in its efforts to protect local fisheries, ensure access to waterways and promote a sustainable habitat for important game species.  In particular, the main focus for the group is seeking game fish status for striped bass in New York State.

As title sponsor of the 10th annual Manhattan Cup, Regulator Marine has the unique opportunity to showcase their "Legendary Ride" to scores of the best captains and guides in the northeast, as well as to create and sustain new relationships with thousands of anglers, families, participants and supporters.

This year's event is May 16, 2008. All boats will leave Chelsea Piers at 9:00 am and return at 4:00 pm for the annual FCA Manhattan Cup awards ceremony at the Chelsea Brewing Company, located at Pier 59 on the Hudson River
