3M Shark Skin Saltwater Taper
The trout lines were the first available, but the innovative company has finally released its Shark Skin Ultimate Saltwater Taper, and it is sure to be a hit.
Mar 24, 2008
3M's new Shark Skin technology was the talk of the Fly Tackle Retailer Show late last year. The trout lines were the first available, but the innovative company has finally released its Shark Skin Ultimate Saltwater Taper, and it is sure to be a hit. Initially,  floating lines, will be available in 6- through 12-weights , featuring the unique embossing method that makes the lines cast and shoot better, virtually eliminating any issues of memory versus air or water temperature. Plans are in the works to expand the concept throughout the Mastery series. At $100, consumer reaction to the line has been mixed. But we've been fishing an experimental version for several months, and if you are going to do a lot of long-distance sight-casting or prospecting, you will want to give this line a try. It's worth the investment. $100; www.scientificanglers.com
