Based on the foundation of its popular 6000 series reels, Sage’s new 8000 Pro has an integrated, two-stage drag control system. Anglers can adjust the primary drag system one full revolution with 20 numbered settings but can also fine-tune the amount of pressure with the secondary drag knob, which can adjust resistance by 15 percent. In total, the 8000 Pro has 195 possible drag combinations. The reel also features a quick-change spool mechanism and a concave palming rim for unexpected short bursts of speed. Available in stealth and storm colors in a 7/8, 9/10 and an 11/12 model.
