Video: Aussie Fly Fishing

Fly anglers sight fish for big jacks, tuna and even marlin in the waters surrounding Fraser Island, Australia.

The fly fishing around Fraser Island, Australia is exciting. About 155 miles north of Brisbane, this island features crystal-clear blue waters full of hard-fighting fish. The video below showcases this awesome fishery. Disregard the music from the '80s, the footage of billfish, tuna and jacks attacking fly offerings makes up for it. In one sequence, an angler pulls a teaser from a charging marlin, as a second angler lofts the fly into place for a hookup. All this is happening in blue-green waters just swimming-distance from the shore.  --Ed.
